Today's Scripture: "Do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,’ because I said, "I am the Son of God?"'" Jn 10:36

Don't expect it
Trying to get consensus among people who don't agree with you is wasted time. The religionists of Jesus' day argued with Him like He had no right to question them. Today, the same thing occurs with most seminary-educated vocational pastors and those who are Scripturists but not pulpiteers.
Walking in a local seminary this week, I read several signs in the lobby stating, "Discipleship begins with evangelism." I understood what was meant, but it seemed like a defensive posture to me. Evangelism is the preaching of the gospel aside from instruction and holding people accountable to it—which is by definition discipleship. But only one of the two is commanded in Matthew 28:18-20. It's funny how most educated people will argue until they're blue in the face, but can't be convinced they're wrong.
Thank You, God, for revealing your word to those who will listen and obey.
