Today's Scripture: "He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, butĀ he who is carelessĀ of his ways will die." Pr. 19:16

5913. Wait for good and you might not recognize it when it comes. JG

See it.

Better later

Live it.

Recently I've felt bad physically, which made me feel bad emotionally. But the worse feeling was spiritual, believing my life was ending and God was giving me advance notice. A close friend told me that was a demonic attack and I knew he was right, but its hard to convince yourself it's a spiritual battle when your mind is arguing with you.

As a young man, serving God was not something on my radar even though I was on a church cradle roll. Becoming a preacher had no attraction to me and while I was drawn to music, I couldn't see that going anywhere either. Like most young people I felt invincible and as I grew, just let things play out and influence my path. But looking back over a life gives a person a perspective they lacked when they were living it. I can say without fear of contradiction that God dealt mercifully with me giving me time and grace to develop into who I am today, a man of the word and prayer. It still remains to be seen what God has prepared for those who wait on Him.

Pray it.

Your word is my life and Your Spirit my Hope, I dwell among dead people but never felt more alive.
