Today's Scripture: "So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest." Ex 28:3

5815. Wisdom is often the first victim of the thought process. JG

See it.

Wise crack

Live it.

Wisdom may be the most discussed and least understood subject there is. Most people think it's someone who understands the facts and makes the right decision. They view someone like that as an educator, a master of thought and knowledge. But according to Scripture, wisdom is God's gift to someone to use in a way that honors Him. A person like that views the right thing to do as something pleasing to God.

I was pleased to hear that the son of a friend of mine had been commissioned to the ministry yesterday. Posted on social media was a photo of him and two friends who also serve in that capacity. It's good to know that young people are preparing for a life of ministry but sad to realize that many won't because they haven't sought such favor of the church. Today in Houston Texas there are many boats navigating the flood carnage of the city seeking survivors. I point out that the men on those boats did not wait for endorsement from authority to help other people. Almost without exception, they are regular people like me and you who do what needs doing because it's the right thing to do.

Pray it.

God, give us more search and rescue people on the ground than preachers behind raised pulpits.
