Today's Scripture: "It shall have two shoulder straps joined at its two edges, and so it shall be joined together." Ex 28:7

Second Flr: standing around
Date night: with the night off from regular duties, it was a good time to spend with my wife. With the wedding of our daughter two months away, our need for a proper mother-of-the-bride dress looms. My wife purchased a nice dress but is looking for a "better" dress. So after work, I sat in the car as she shopped a local a wedding boutique without success. Then after a nice dinner, we headed south to the big mall. There I got to watch and hope the right dress in the right size, color and price would manifest itself. Would there be straps, sequins or lace I have no idea.
What's a guy to do when his wife is lost among racks of potential? There might be some men who can be engaged in such an adventure, but not me. I studied the design of the building, the placement of fitting rooms, restrooms and the store layout in general. Occasionally I would interact with my wife's analysis of the issue just to be corrected. Then I'd smile, act like I knew what she was saying, and begin to study the ceiling light placement and exit signs. When it was determined there would be no answers on this trip, we drove home to resume our adventure later. My conclusion: the right dress can't make my wife more beautiful. And that's all I've got to say about that!
What You've put together, God, cannot be disconnected even though it seems we try.
