Today's Scripture: "An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: there is no fear of God before his eyes." Ps 36:1

Round da mountain
One week ago, the September Equinox quietly pushed Summer aside to welcome Autumn. Most of us welcome the cooling breeze and color changing leaves that mark the Fall season. Today in Memphis, Tennessee we expect a bright and sunny day with temps ranging from 57 degrees overnight to 80 degrees during the day. It's a great day to spend outside, but like most people I will view it through a window.
Yes, Summer's gone, Fall's here and Winter is coming. I pulled up an picture taken of our frozen flower bed a year ago to remind me of what's just around the corner. A wise man prepares for what's coming while the average person lives each day without respect for what they can't see.
I loaned a editable copy of my 2014 novel to a new couple that my wife and I met a few weeks ago. After a new friend finished reading and marking up the book, his wife was reading it and amazed why it had not been promoted. I explained that it had been dormant for several reasons, mostly because of punctuation issues and frustration with the proofing process. I was quietly reminded of the sleepy, dormant state of the church and my reason for writing the book in the first place.
Wake up Your church, Jesus, before we sit out Your coming and wonder why.
