Shades of color
Having been looking for a white suit for a special project, I was amazed to find a great buy on a jacket in my size last night. I was more shocked at the discounted price tag so I wore the jacket through the store to find my wife in another part of the store. The double take of people seeing the old man in shorts and wearing a dress white jacket was funny. While she was pleased with the value, she asked me take it off while I was with her. "What about the pants she asked." I responded that I'd purchased those months before at the thrift store. She just shook her head in disbelief knowing in advance what I would soon learn.
Did you know that there are different shades of white? I didn't know that until I held my new white coat beside the white pants I've had in my closet for months. Even I could see that they didn't match. So the search continues, but this time for white pants and vest that are in my size AND matching the white of the coat in my closet. I've learned there is something to be said about buying an ensemble made at one time from the same fabric. In the same way, people might sound and even look the same, but compare them to perfection and we see that we are all different shades of imperfection.
Your word, God, fits all ages, sizes and color of possibility.
