Today's Scripture: "Then after this He said to the disciples, 'Let us go to Judea again.'” Jn 11:7

5958. One step forward is usually better than two back. JG

See it.

Need to go

Live it.

Everyone has memories they rather not relive. For the disciples, every encounter that almost got Jesus killed was in the past and was a place they'd rather not revisit. But knowing Bethany in Judea was where the miracle of the ages would occur, He broke the news of going back to the disciples and prepared their hearts.

For years I kept pieces of my dream car that was destroyed in 1964 in a head-on collision near Trenton, Tennessee. Visiting the site some time later, I found pieces of gold fiberglass still scattered in the field off Highway 54. Time has past and I do not have those parts anymore. In fact, I have no newspaper articles of the wreck nor information concerning others involved. I doubt the highway is like it was back then, but I often revisit the place and time in my mind and think of going back.

Pray it.

What was can't measure up to what can be by following You today, Jesus.
