Today's Scripture: "The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he has ceased to be wise and to do good." Ps 36:3

5961. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. JG

See it.

Roots happen

Live it.

For all those crape myrtle huggers out there, what business does a tree ten feet away from a house have with the house? The answer is "nothing good." Currently, the plans are to poison the root system, cut down the many trees around the house and remove the stumps. Pictured above is one of many roots that sought refuge under our house foundation. For tree lovers, however, not to worry. We will forever have shoots from deeply embedded roots all over the lawn for years to come.

Today my youngest daughter is getting married and my wife and I will be spending the day in activities surrounding the ceremony later. While I am certain their marriage will bring much happiness to them and their parents and family, roots happen. For the most part that's good when embedded in good soil because of the sometimes harsh weather above ground. But when extended in questionable areas over a period of time, they may need extensive pruning if not removal. We pray our children are wise and do good with a strong and healthy non-invasive root system.

Pray it.

We bless our children today, Father, believing even their trouble works for their good.
