Today's Scripture: ". . . and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They shall be set in gold settings. Ex 28:20

We can only speculate as to the significance of the last row of jewels in the breastplate of the Jewish High Priest. It's believed the final three stones represent the primary colors of red, green and blue. If so, when blended they represent all colors in our visual spectrum including white, which itself signifies holiness.
Today may mark the beginning of the end of our pet ownership. We didn't want a cat when our daughter brought one home and left it sixteen years ago. But we have faithfully provided a loving and comfortable place for Roxy all these years. She has become so high maintenance, however, my wife and I find pleasure in the idea of one day having no pets. Will we live to see the day? Not sure, because looking back and thinking of Scooter, Pookie, Lola, and two Roxies, there was never a time a cat was not in the house.
Thank You, Father, for Your grace is sweeter and Your mercies fresher with each passing day.
