Today's Scripture: "These things He said, and after that He said to them, 'Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.'” Jn 11:11

In the days ahead, changes will be common around this house. Thursday and Friday all windows will be replaced with energy efficient ones. In addition, our backyard is being converted from a swamp to a garden (pic above). Also, all sixteen crape myrtles planted within inches of the side of the house are coming down and being hauled away today. Finally, due to the fence being completed on both sides of the house this week, another three crapes are coming down. That leaves five myrtles left standing but they are far from the house.
Today therefore, this devotional is shortened due to picking up trailer, fencing material and hauling away trees cut down. Not to be elevated to the importance of Jesus raising Lazarus to life, it does offer similarities.
Change can be good but is perfected when You do it in our lives, Lord.
