Today's Scripture: "Then His disciples said, 'Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.'" Jn 11:12

See it.

Read and believe

Live it.

A year ago my friend and I were both facing difficulties related to our jobs, work and our future. We both had concerns about seeming losses and what God intended for us and our families. This morning my friend was able to attend a weekly prayer meeting with me and other friends. While going around the table and thanking God for answered prayer, I revisited Habakkuk 3:17-19 and saw my friend's and my name written in the margin dated April 28, 2016. We rejoiced that God not only delivered on our prayer but exceeded our wildest expectation.

The disciples were well versed in the law and the teaching that there would be a general resurrection of at the end of time. But they were unaware that Jesus is the Resurrection and His name makes the raising of the dead possible. If you haven't learned to associate your praying with certain verses, you've missed a great blessing. Our Bibles should be place-markers of our private time with God. I am convinced there is nothing in my life that can't be linked to God's provision in Scripture. The question is how much of my life is wrapped by the word of God. That's a question we all should ask.

Pray it.

May we not equate our plans to Yours, God, but learn to submit to it.
