Today's Scripture: "But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God." Acts 7:55

If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it. A year ago, there were so many disasters brewing it was hard not to depressed. Forsaken by friends, overlooked by others, having nothing but failed projects, distanced by associates, blamed for things out of my control and no longer earning income, it seemed I was done.
That pretty much describes the dings and dents in my life. But the voices that worked to defeat me were inside and not superficial. The sole voice that encouraged me not to give up was the Holy Spirit, the One who no one sees or hears audibly. Knowing that God has never failed, I found courage in the midst of my despair and trusted Him. Looking back, it appears that everyone else was wrong but Him. Perhaps it's time for you to look up and not spend so much time considering how you look to others.
Thank You, Lord, for hope greater than my despair and expectation larger than my imagination.
