Today's Scripture: "And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.” Jn 11:15
5986. Joy is the reflection of anticipation inside someone. JG
Yesterday I was shown a video taken of a children's choir singing "Ain't Nothing Gonna Steal my Joy," a song by Zack Williams. One thing for certain, nothing could steal the joy of one little girl who danced and sang to the song while the rest of the choir stood motionless. I couldn't help but think someone will eventually attempt to steal her joy by demanding conformance over expression.
"What caused you to leave the big church?" I was surprised to learn from my friend that it was her pastor. He entered the practice room of a large choir prior to worship service. Chastising them and forced them to lift their hands while singing, I'm sure he wanted raised hands but no dancing. His intention was no different than Israel's king, who after the invading army stole his nation's priceless golden shields made cheap brass ones to replace them. A demonstration is important but recognizing the correct message is more important.
I can't wait to see what You're going to do today, Jesus.
