Today's Scripture: "And two other rings of gold you shall make, and put them on the two shoulder straps, underneath the ephod toward its front, right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the ephod." Ex 28:27

See it.

Live it.

Connecting devices were attached underneath the ephod where they would not be seen and supported what was seen. This can be compared to those behind the scenes making the work of the visible church viable. Or at least, that's the way it's supposed to work.

With exception of the years I served as minister of music and youth, I serve in an invisible capacity at church. By that I mean that what I do for the kingdom of God is not seen or promoted in church and I'm okay with that. My work is intercessory prayer and the disciple-making that comes as a result. Unfortunately "out of sight is more times than not, out of mind for church leadership. In its place, education is substituted for true discipleship. That's reasonable when you consider that few, if any, pastors were truly discipled themselves. It's true that it takes one to know one, I guess.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for teaching and leading me in how to best serve You.
