Today's Scripture: "How precious is Your loving-kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings." Ps 36:7

See it.

Collision collusion?

Live it.

On my way to the store yesterday, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take this photograph. You have to look hard, but pictured are the vapor trails of three jets intersecting, or so it seemed, at the same point in the sky. It appeared that a fourth jet was racing to the same intersection. But the aircraft did not collide because they were at different locations and altitudes. It was my perspective on the ground that made the situation seem ominous.

This Sunday is the first since the massacre at a Texas church last week. That's when terror intersected innocence and left a shadow of unanswered questions. With open carry permits in the state, I imagine guns, if the congregation had them, were checked at the door. The crazed murderer did not check his, however, and he managed to shoot most every adult and child in the auditorium, some within his own family. This was indeed a sad event, but if anything good came from it, it may have been the wake-up call to churches to take action to protect their congregations from a similar assault.

Pray it.

Only You, God, make good things out of bad and give us comfort in grieving.
