Today's Scripture: "“So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment over his heart, when he goes into the holy place, as a memorial before the Lord continually." Ex 28:29

See it.

Remember surrender

Live it.

Digitizing my musical soundtracks from cassette tapes, I've had occasion to come across some old recordings of family members talking. Hearing it, my young wife sounds different and that's okay I guess, because she asked who the man was on the tape (that would be me). As strange as it sounds, these sound bites are a family treasure to me though of little to no value to anyone else.

This generation is blessed to have a journalistic tool in their hands at all times. The smart phone with camera and video recorder are constantly available. But the documenting the photos along with time, place and associates, could be priceless later in life. What I'm noticing about this generation, however, is they have few plans beyond today and see no reason to remember yesterday. Men have used memorials forever to recount important time, events and people. I fear the phone itself will be a future memorial reminding people of the vague memories of the past and opportunities missed.

Pray it.

If it means a lot to You, God, I will take notice and document it as a memorial.
