Today's Scripture: "They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures." Ps 36:8

5996. It takes more effort to be content than complain. JG

See it.

Gooder than good

Live it.

A consensus opinion in church might be a misnomer. That's because church is not a democracy, but more times than not, a dictatorship where one person with select friends calls the shots and members can leave if they don't like it. The problem is they seldom do. Instead they become grumblers and complainers, if they weren't before, and stick around to see the plan fail and/or the decision-maker leave.

Having painted a rather gloomy picture of the average church, we should consider trouble-makers are in the minority of the congregation. I believe the majority position in church has no part in despair and finds fulfillment in worship. The spreaders of gloom and doom are usually limited a few people trying to grow their group by spreading poison. And then there are some who don't stick around enough to join either group. Blend it all together and you have the good, the bad and the ugly.

Pray it.

I think I need a larger cup, Lord, as the one I have repeatedly overflows.
