Today's Scripture:"Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house." Jn 11:20

6002. Depression is the result of embracing wrong information. JG

See it.

The disappointed

Live it.

It's heart-warming to see someone you've helped, mature and grow spiritually, but it hurts to see them go back to their old ways. Unfortunately as a disciple-maker, we see more of the first than the latter. Few people can see light through their darkened lens.

The old HeeHaw television recordings are priceless, especially the gloom and despair ensembles. Each chorus was followed by a different member telling his depressing but funny story. The fact they were drinking moonshine implied that alcohol somehow buried their sorrow. But we know that it has just the opposite effect in real life. It's sad to think how many more people will choose alcohol to celebrate this holiday season just to find disappointment and depression.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for shining Light on this darkened world and leading us to it.
