Today's Scripture: "Oh, continue Your loving-kindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart." Ps 36:10

See it.

Blind justice

Live it.

Three years ago I sat in a pastor's office and discussed my end-time novel with him. He smiled and stacked it on top of other things he didn't intend to read. I asked his opinion about eschatology and was amazed to hear that he'd never preached on it and didn't plan on it. He said the subject was confusing to him and he didn't want to confuse the congregation. That statement amazed me, but later I thanked God he didn't. That's because he regularly used Scripture out of context thinking his pastoral position gave him impunity.

Last night I engaged a young man in whom I see much spiritual maturity. I gave him a copy of the book and invited his participation in a special project. Later, it dawned on me that this generation of young people have not heard much, if any, of Jesus' teaching on the endtime. And it was not shocking to learn the largest Christian book store no longer accept books on eschatology. Thank God, I now have a pastor who accurately uses Scripture, but it appears to me that yet another endtime prophecy has come to fruition (Rev. 3:18).

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for everything You say, especially the things I do not want to hear.
