Today's Scripture: "Martha said to Him, 'I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.'" Jn 11:24

See it.

On deck

Live it.

It was not the first time someone spoke to Jesus and dumb-downed His words. It must have been a learning experience every time Jesus spoke. But I don't think I would have said anything different than what Martha told Him. What she said was common belief and not considered radical at all. Who could have anticipated what Jesus was going to do? The laws of Science took another step backward as its Creator stepped forward. One would prove subject to the other and it was not who we thought.

Someone recently doubted God was working in my life because he couldn't see what I claimed to see. He focused on what he could understand from his experience. Unable to trust my "waiting" faith, he questioned why I just didn't provide it myself and give God the credit for doing it. That is after all, the mentality of the average church. What Jesus knew and Martha would learn was that some lessons are only learned after we surrender our solution and wait for His. "How long?" you may ask. My answer: "As long as it takes."

Pray it.

Forgive me, Lord, when my contentment does not seek what You want to give me.
