Today's Scripture: "Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away." Ps 36:11
6017. Inclusion is an act of love with reward outweighing the risk. JG

See it.

Active inaction

Live it.

A common misconception is to think doing anything is better than doing nothing. Because of that erroneous thinking most people will do things believing it's the right thing to do when the opposite is true. All of us deal with issues of pride. After all, a healthy self-esteem is built on pride, but pride can get out of control like the wind moves a fire through a dry forest.

My life has been blessed with people who influenced me in a positive way. I can't count the number of people in my life who said or did something that encouraged me and moved me in the right direction. Forever grateful for them, I can't help but point out those who unintentionally hurt people by ignoring them.

New people are regularly invited to join groups only to forever be considered an outsider. More times than not, isolation causes them to quietly leave the group. Sadly in the end, you're left with only people you've known for a long time, never to miss those who leave to find friends elsewhere. Aren't you glad that doesn't happen in church?

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for everyone You'll lead to cross my path today.
