6030. Failure to show up surrenders your right to participate. JG
Yesterday a long needed tax break for most Americans passed Congress and should soon be signed into law by the President. All the members of one political party showed up on the steps of the White House to celebrate while the other party failed to show up for the vote (voting "No"). One party expects the results of the bill will please most average voting citizens who will remember at the polls. The other side hopes it will fail and people will blame those who voted for it and celebrate those who failed to support it.
Beginning today we will hear constant stories of both good and bad effect on people. The funny thing is the only testimony the naysayers will have is that of welfare recipients (who don't pay tax) and wealthy people who will pay more but were supposed to be the sole beneficiaries. Chickens will indeed come home to roost as the naysayers suggest, but it may leave egg on their face and turn eggs golden for everyone else.
Show me what You're doing today, God, so I can participate.
