6038. Death is a process that speeds up when we slow down. JG
This past growing season has seen great progress in our outside plantings. So much so, when a rose bush was pruned I took a short stem and put it in a cup of water hoping to see new growth. I was amazed to see leaves popup on the thorny stem and had hopes of moving it to a bed in the Spring. But now Winter has come and everything living outside is trying to survive freezing temperatures. For that reason I bring my fledgling plant inside at night (pic) taking it out only to get a few hours of direct sunlight. Too bad I can't do that for our gardenia bushes.
Yesterday I had coffee with an out-of-town brother who shares my desire to make disciples. We discussed our plans for 2018 and prayed together asking God to bless them. Alike in some respects, we are different in others. He has several trips planned to teach discipleship overseas and I am seeking potential disciple-makers here in this country. It's 82 days until Spring, but many will die of exposure to sin before then.
God, bless those who invest their time and energy in making disciples.
