Today's Scripture: "As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison." Acts 8:3
6040. Forgiveness is stepping across a line in the sand. JG

See it.

Seemed right

Live it.

Home alone was a condition long before the Christmas movie came out. Being retired (somewhat) and working at home gives me the opportunity to get some things done around the house. But the difference between me and the disobedient kid in the movie, is I want to make things better for everyone when they come home. That extends from yard work to laundry to anything else I'm asked to do. But I've learned not to try certain things, even though I'm willing to do it.

There was a time when I lived alone and can't remember being critiqued for anything. That's because my standard for folding towels is lower and I could decide the degree of my neatness. But now I live with someone else and must learn to be neat according to their standard. Saul of Tarsus thought a Jew should abide by Jewish tradition, but followers of Jesus found a new standard. Saul would become educated on the road to Damascus, but until then would hurt people who didn't do things the way he thought they should.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for a standard of living and the Holy Spirit to teach it to me.
