Being the God-man, Jesus was different from anyone else who has ever walked on earth. While most men live in the moment, for their own good, Jesus lived for the good of others with eternity in mind. He saw men for who they were, not for who they claimed to be. When they talked, Jesus knew their motive and true feelings. When they said one thing, He'd often reveal what they were really thinking but not saying. It's no wonder Jesus groaned. I did some groaning of my own yesterday.
We've had a problem with one bathroom faucet for so long, I forgot why we stopped using it. But that didn't prevent me from calling the home warranty company and assuming they'd find the problem and fix it (for a flat fee). Wrong. After the serviceman left, I discovered the faucet was leaking. Calling the warranty company to let them know their oversight, they claimed my failure to identify the problem relieved them from responsibility to fix it. After dealing with my anger, I realized we were both wrong. That company doesn't deserve the right to use the word "service" in their ads. But I don't deserve help if I can't clearly communicate what I need.
May I say for the record that I need You, God, all the time, in every way.
