To discuss what's obvious is easy, at least in most cases. But to reveal what's not and then discuss it, is harder. For example, most people would read the verse above and talk about the raising of Lazarus. But you could look at the issue from the viewpoint of each person involved and come up with multiple alternate story lines.
Many people make an effort to read the Bible through in a calendar year. Having done that myself, I can say that is a worthy endeavor. But even better is to read it slowly and between the lines. That's not where things are invented and made equal to Scripture as does a cult. Instead, looking at every word and everything said and done from every perspective, you prove Scripture and set standards for your own life.
Your word, God, from any perspective is true and applicable to everything in life.
