Devotional - Thursday, February 1, 2018 32/333

Today's Scripture: "Jesus said to her, 'Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?'" Jn 11:40
6072. For some, believe and receive are more than similar sounding. JG

See it.

Live it.

Everyone has something on which they eagerly await. Most people bide their time waiting for funds to buy something. The elderly want health and longer life while those with physical issues seek successful treatment. For churches, it's having more members with more money to minister. For business, it's product acceptance and more profit. On what are you waiting?

This morning in the weekly meeting of our prayer band, I heard a word I questioned as being in the dictionary. An aging man in our group said he spends his time "piddling." Someone asked "Siri" and she (the phone) confirmed to me that it was a real word. I doubt Martha and Mary piddled after the death of their brother. Their problem was not knowing what was possible and how to pray. They learned, as should we, that with Jesus, anything is possible. That, my friend, should change how we pray.

Pray it.

Forgive me, Lord, for praying for what I think is possible.
