6079. I'm not sure you heard what I thought I said. JG
What'd I say?
As a student of American Sign Language, the congregation sees me use it in choir and some express their appreciation of the hand movements I make. Early on I tried to explain that I was praying in sign and not doing creative movement, but most couldn't grasp the difference. They've kept their misconception so I've learned to say "Thank you" and keep the matter between me and God.
Some people practice demonstrative worship, but most don't, and that plus diverse doctrine is what leads to separate congregations. You may pick up a worship style after seeing and hearing others do it. But in every case, you should only do what is conducive to worship. Consecrated by the word and prayer, the issue is pretty much open as God loves seeing us worship and not concerned how we do it.
My heart's desire is to please You, God, and not men.
