We Americans have become seduced by Hollywood. In a place where pretension and illusion meet to tell stories, we all like to sit in a movie theater and be entertained. Our ears flooded with surround music, and we lean back to watch a story come alive while munching on popcorn and drinking soda. But when the credits start rolling, we walk out of the darkened movie theater into the sunlight where we pushed the pause button on reality. If that wasn't enough of a shock, now we must endure the opinions of pretenders who want to be taken seriously. Someone roll the credits please.
May we, like You, Jesus only tell "stories" to present reality to people.
