Newton said for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. To put his physical terms in a spiritual context, we will likely find an equal pushback today for what we pushed yesterday. It's human nature to stop pushing when we're pushed, but doing so we risk whatever we were pushing rolling over us. In that case, no one will know why we were pushing in the first place. Instead, we earn the reputation of being "pushy."
I didn't realize, God, that my pushing Satan would result in him pushing someone else.
