Today's Scripture: "And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkleĀ itĀ on Aaron and on his garments, on his sons and on the garments of his sons with him; and he and his garments shall be hallowed, and his sons and his sons' garments with him." Ex 29:21

Blood and oil spread on the garment of the priests served to remind them that their work was a third element in the atoning process. They were not holy by nature or by virtue of their family, position or work. Holy was not found in a Jewish priest, a dead animal or oil, but from God who grants it as He pleases. Today, we should learn the same lesson: a true calling comes from above, not from men or their religious ceremony.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for continuing to show me what I don't see yet.
