Return on rejection
Faced with the most difficult sales job of my life, I was interested in hearing how other salesmen dealt
with rejection. I still remember what one salesman told me. He said that after meeting a certain prospect and handing him a business card, presenting the facts and asking for an order, his offer was rejected. Feeling there was no way to change the prospect's mind, the salesman asked for his business card back which he tore in half as he exited the premises. That may have helped restore his self-esteem, but I wasn't sure declaring war on a potential customer was the best to end a meeting.
I am so thankful, God, that You didn't discard me every time I ignored You.
