Some of the best advice I've been given came years ago from another disciple-maker. He said it made no sense to spend time working with someone who was not serious about being discipled. Of course, some might argue that people change and that's true. But my friend's advice has saved me energy that I spent elsewhere and kept the other person from wasting his time and being frustrated. A disciple-maker can do a lot of things but changing another person's desire is not one of them.

Pray it.

As You have been patient with me, Lord, help me be that way toward others.
