If you are simply looking around or have come seeking someone to talk to and/or pray for you, Welcome, Come in and Thank you. If, on the other hand, you are a new or existing Prayer Warrior, the following information explains how the Cyber Room works.
This room is a sanctified "chat" product, a place where 1 to 250 people can talk and pray simultaneously. Chat rooms have gained a bad reputation for being used for wrong purposes, but Prayertower provides it here as a holy place where people can pray together and/or minister to one another in Jesus' name.
You are invited to enter and pray as often and as frequently as desired. Just click the "Enter ROOM" link above and when asked, select a nickname not being used by someone else. If you are a PT warrior, a name can be assigned and a password assigned so you can log-in every time using a consistent handle. Your name will then be reserved like mine, "webservant," the title I've used to minister anonymously via the Internet for years. (NOTE: Communication is recorded & may be included in the daily journal)
HOW
TO PRAY IN A CYBER MEETING
Once you have entered the room, you are joining a session
already in progress. On the right hand portion of the screen, you will see
the names of those who are in the room. The last ten statements will be listed and subsequently roll off the screen as more prayer continues.
It's not necessary to type anything in order to take part in a prayer meeting. You can simply read what's being written and allow others to lead you in prayer. If you agree with what someone has said, you might type "AMEN!," or "I agree!" in the blank rectangle and press "Send." You never have to tell anyone your real name and should not feel compelled to do anything but listen and pray in your own way. However, participating in a prayer meeting or ministering to someone who asks you to pray for them is a gratifying experience and encourages those who come to PT seeking help for a problem.
As scripture verses are referenced by someone you might find it a blessing to look that up. Remember to enter short phrases and concentrate on what you are saying to God. You are not typing for others to see, but to the Almighty. While learning to pray in a cyber fashion, go to the room and open your Bible, asking God to impress your heart.
Understand that there is no guarantee you won't encounter someone rude or even vulgar in the room. That fact may concern you and give you reason to avoid it altogether. I understand, but know this: You will never have a safer means by which you can go into the world and be the salt and light to people dying in the darkness of sin. Still, NEVER give personal information about yourself or anyone else. Just love people and listen to God, that's all there is to it.
Entering the room makes a sound, letting others know you are there. When you are done, just click the picture of the door in the lower right hand of the window or click the "x" in the upper right hand portion of the window.
God bless us as we pray in Jesus' Name.
