The PrayerRoom is a sanctified "chat" room; a place set aside as holy, where participants known via a nickname can pray and minister to one another in Jesus' name. You are invited to enter the room and pray - just as you are. Select a nickname (that is not being used by someone else) and click the "Enter PrayerRm" button. If you click here without entering a nickname, one will be assigned to you. We request that you use the PrayerRm for holy purposes, something we know most will do. Those who will not are still welcome for they are the reason Christ called us out of the world. Jesus said, "My house shall be a house of prayer for the nations." I usually remain signed-in throughout the day, even though I may have stepped out for a while. If you'd like someone to pray for you, you might consider sending us an E-mail message. Please make
yourself at home and spend as much time here as you wish. (NOTE: Communication
is recorded & may be included in the daily journal) God
bless us as we pray in Jesus' Name. HOW
TO PRAY IN A CYBER MEETING Look at the bottom left portion of the screen and you'll find the nickname you've chosen followed by a blank rectangle and two buttons, "Say" and "Act." To say something, left-click your mouse in the blank rectangle one time and type. If you type more than can be displayed in the box, words will scroll to the left. You can use your keyboard freely, pressing "Home" to go to the beginning of the line and "End" to go to the end. When ready, left-click "Say" and your line is transferred where others can read it. You might be wondering how the "Act" button is used. Consider using it as an optional way to record what you would do is you were in a PrayerRm at church. You might enter, kneel, put your hands together and bow your head. Here's how you can do that in virtual sense: Type "Approach
altar" - Press "Act" Understand that it's not necessary to type anything to take part in a prayer meeting; you can simply read what's being written and allow others to lead you in prayer. If you agree with what someone has said, you might type "AMEN!," or "I agree!" in the blank rectangle and left-click "Say." As scripture verses are referenced by someone you might find it a blessing to look that up. Remember to enter short phrases and concentrate on what you are saying to God. You are not typing for others to see, but to the Almighty. While learning to pray in a cyber fashion, go to the room and open your Bible, asking God to impress your heart with His will. When done, just click the little "x" in the upper right hand of the open PrayerRoom window. Notice of your exit will be indicated to those still in the Room. |
