2x2 Ministry

"After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Luke 10:1-2

When Jesus sent these men into the mission field, He did so in pairs. It wasn't because one person couldn't get the job done, but because two are better than one. Not only can they help each another, they can pray for each other, hold each other accountable, encourage one another and adminish one another.

The relationship of two people with the same Lord and the same goal should be both productive and symbiotic. This disicpleship ministry is patterned after this example.

Established in 1990, the Prayertower Ministries was begun by Jim Green, pastor, intercessor and disciple-maker. His vision is to teach people to how to pray and make disciples. They then do the same for someone else.

2x2, the name given to the ministry, provides a platform for individuals to exercise their spiritual giftedness in loving other people in Jesus' name. After joining, a person is helped in finding his or her giftedness (if they don't know it) and then assigned a ministry role where they can exercise it.

The ministry team extends across denomination, age, gender and race for one purpose: to fulfill our Lord's Great Commission.  The goal is to equip and train with encouragement and accountability.

While many teams may form, each one ministers primarily within their own congregation. From there, select members travel periodically to minister to other churches through strengthening existing ministries or helping begin new ones.

Our purpose is to reproduce ourselves for God's glory.  Our focus includes, but not limited to, music, drama, sign language, interpretative movement, prayer, discipleship, men's and women's ministry, preaching, teaching, workshops, prison ministry, sound and video production, the Fourth Day community and hands-on support ministry.
